Нийтэлсэн огноо: 2022-05-11

An average of more than 100,000 people are infected with ticks each year, and the number is growing every year.

Tick-borne encephalitis is caused by the flavi virus, which damages the central nervous system and is usually caused by meningitis or encephalitis. Ticks that cause tick-borne encephalitis are usually found in forest-steppe areas and can infect the central nervous system if they become infected. The most dangerous is the selective damage to human nerve tissue. After a tick bite, the latent phase usually subsides in 3-21 days, with high fever for 7–14 days, severe headache, pale tongue, stiff neck, paralysis of the face, arms, and legs, prolonged sleep, and vomiting. Symptoms include severe pain in the back and neck muscles, dizziness, tremors, and cramps. In some cases, they even lose consciousness.

In the last 10 years, a total of 225 cases of tick-borne encephalitis have been registered in 29 ammunition of 10province.

Professional organizations warn that tick activity is relatively high this year compared to previous years.

People are advised to avoid tick bites when working in the forest, walking, picking herbs, camping, and walking in the mountains.
